Institute of Computer Science of Jagiellonian University offers several modern educational programs allowing students to acquire higher education in Computer Science:
The State Accreditation Committee under the Polish Government Minister for Higher Education granted the Institute of Computer Science of Jagiellonian University the rights to offer higher-education degree programmes in Computer Science area at Master of Science and Bachelor of Science levels for years 2004 - 2009.

The University Accreditation Commission established by the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities and being a member of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies awarded the accreditation to the Institute of Computer Science of Jagiellonian University in recognition of high quality of the education in Computer Science. The Institute of Computer Science is in a group of only five Polish high education institutions which obtained accreditation. The accreditation is granted for years 2004 - 2009. |
The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science is given an authorization to grant the PhD and Habilitation degrees in Computer Science.
Our students regularly succeed in the ACM International Collegiate Programming
Contest, the ACM Central Europe Programming Contest and remain in top student teams at
the Annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals.
In rankings of Polish high education institutions teaching in Computer Science, the Institute of Computer Science of Jagiellonian University occupies top positions. In the 2004 ranking of "Polityka" the Institute of Computer Science is placed on the second place in Poland.
